Snowflakes on a COLD Winter Morning

It's 29° Outside ~ That's COLD for a place where palm trees grow.
Perfect weather to show you my snowflakes.
I wanted to have them ready the weekend after Thanksgiving.
I'm late. At least I still have two weeks to enjoy them for December,
and I may just leave them up into January.

Christmas in the House

Oh how I love Christmas time!
It truly is the BEST time of the year.

My mother-in-law made this manger scene for us when our children were little.
It is a WET day - rain coming down in sheets.
A perfect day to for a cozy fire.

Just a Little Bit of Christmas

I spent the yesterday wrapping presents.
What a happy sight!

I only wish the Christmas holidays lasted longer.
The days are speeding by too fast.

Praise the Lord!

Good news! I am well. I am still walking.

→ For more, please visit me at: www.facebook.com/jolly.ollie.77: yesterday, I was hit by a car which was making a right turn from a side street onto busy Sunrise Boulevard. It was stopped at the corner when I stepped out to cross the street. The driver began his turn, and we collided. Thankfully, he was quick to stop and did not run me over. Thankfully, there was a lull in the traffic, and no one on Sunrise ran me over.

Other than 12 stitches on my brow, a swollen black eye, and a bit of soreness in various parts of my body, I am okay. God protected me. It could have been so much worse. Praise the Lord!

I am more concerned for the man who hit me. He felt so terrible. My our dear Lord bless him and keep him and draw him near to Himself. To God be the glory.

Love and hugs,
Hope

Our Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner

I forgot to take a photo of the table before we sat down to eat.
So I decided to take one of my dinner plate.
Mashed potatoes - oh so creamy and buttery - and gravy,
Sausage-Cracker Stuffing - I always make a double batch of this because everyone LOVES it,
Golden orange garnet yams (AKA sweet potatoes) slathered in butter,
Turkey,
Corn, also slathered in butter,
and juicy whole cranberry sauce.
Oh, yes, and fresh bread rolls,
but I never eat one on Thanksgiving Day, because I can eat bread any ol' day.
We also always have sparkling cider - oh yum.

The food is delicious, but the best part of Thanksgiving Day is having the family all together.
