Sketch of Thanksgiving Day

~ A drawing I did nearly 30 YEARS ago ~

This was drawn from my own imagination.
I usually draw from some photo or picture inspiration.
My drawings tend to be SO two dimensional.
You can see where I messed up -
See the patch on my paper in my struggle to draw the father?
I don't draw men well.

Tomorrow IS Thanksgiving Day!

  3. I see nothing wrong with your drawing...I wish I had talent...so many bloggers enjoy quilting, sewing, have Etsy shops etc...sigh (smiles and really I am giggling and no harsh feelings etc).

Wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving. Blessings

  5. I think you are too hard on yourself! I'm not an artist, so maybe I just don't see it, but I think this sketch is absolutely amazing! I can't believe you still have it after 30 years as I can't seem to keep anything for longer than a couple, lol! This is something I think you should frame and hang. It's very cozy and homey. I love it!

    1. Hello,

      Thank you!

As for keeping my drawing for so long, when we were first married, my husband bought me a binder with clear pocket pages for me to put my drawing in. I used to draw quite regularly back then, but as the years have gone by, I don't draw very often. I am trying to get back into it.

So nice of you to stop by.
      :) Hope
