It's Thanksgiving Day!

~5:00 a.m.~

Both of my older children came home to spend the night with us. What joy to have all five children together! We watched a couple of movies last night, and then enjoyed a bit of Brian Regan on Youtube. At 11:30, I headed to bed and left the children to their visiting. They did not go to bed until around 2:00 this morning.

I got up at 3:30 to straighten up the house for our big day. I love the quietness of the early morning - enjoying the fire in the wood stove, morning coffee, and preparing for the day.

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

I too love those early mornings, the quietness and peacefulness causes one to feel the presence of the Lord in such a beautiful way, doesn't it?

    1. Hello Debbie,

Yes, I know... that following link does not seem to be working. I don't know what to do about it, but I appreciate that you attempted to follow my blog.

And, YES, I think that God made the morning so beautiful just for that reason - a quiet time to appreciate all that He has done for us.

      Thank you for stopping by,
      :) Hope

  8. What beautiful desserts! It's so cool to see what others are doing for the holiday. I love that your children come to your house. What a blessing! Five children! God has blessed you and abundantly!

  9. What a gorgeous, abundant spread. Your family is so fortunate to have you to prepare such a fantastic holiday feast for them. It's awesome that you had all five of your kids at home and that you guys were able to celebrate together as a family. That's the way the holidays should (ideally) all be.

Many hugs & joyful blessings for the coming winter!
