My Cup of "Tea"

Stephanie at The Enchanting Rose, shared a sweet memory of her childhood tea set, how her mother taught her to hold her teacup, pour and serve tea, and the joy of sharing this same tea set with her own young son.

Stephanie has linked up with Sandi from Rose Chintz Garden who is having a “What’s In Your Cabinet" party. I thought it would fun to join the party. Perhaps you would like to, too!

Although I do not have a spectacular story to tell you, this little set was a special gift my sister gave to me for my birthday one year. It is so pretty; I wanted to share it. As you can see, I am more of a coffee, than tea, drinker.

  2. Hope, this is such a beautiful set! I love the saucer and the details on it :) Thanks for sharing. And I'm like you, I am now more a coffee drinker...that's probably thanks to my husband since he adds cream and sugar to my coffee and makes it taste so delightful :)

    Hugs,
    Stephanie

  3. Hello Hope,
I like my coffee in the morning and I never drink tea in the morning although it is my beverage of choice throughout the rest of the day.
It's very nice to 'meet' you! You have a sweet teacup and I'm so happy you have joined my party today! Your teacup is even more special because it came from your sister. Lovely! Thanks so much for sharing it with us and have a beautiful day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  7. You have a good sister story giving you a beautiful teaset! The set is so pretty with the flowers and reticulation on the saucer. Coffee or tea is wonderful in this lovely set!

    Thanks, Pam

  8. Your tea set is simply gorgeous! I only own two tea sets myself, but I have never shared them on my blog. Maybe sometime in the future.

    Oh, I'm a hot cocoa person. :)

    Blessings!

  9. Having lived in Geneva, Switzerland, I have fond memories of sipping tea out of a clear glass mug. The sun beating down on my face as I took a break from skiing.... the temperature of the tea, mixed with the cold temperatures, created a swirling spiral of steam that warmed my face. Gesh... time for a reality check! I'm "not in Kansas anymore, Toto", but I sure relish the memories!

  11. What an enchantingly pretty tea set! One of my dreams is to have a buffet hutch some day and to ensure it includes a gorgeous vintage (or vintage appropriate) tea set like this.
