I spent Friday evening making cards for my Etsy shop, just made my first sale this weekend!
Today is my son's penultimate game of soccer for the season! It is going to be chilly and perhaps even a bit wet.
It's an early game, so we'll stop at McDonald's for breakfast on the way. After the game, we'll return home and enjoy a cozy afternoon fire.
Hope dear, I am enjoying your weekly art series tremendously. I've always been a much more of a fan of classical art than its modern counterpoint (especially paintings from the seventeen and eighteen hundreds, like this beautiful Victorian piece), and never tire of discovering new works and revisiting old favourites alike.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and your family an immensely lovely weekend,

That painting is breathtaking! There is nothing that can compare to art like this. :)

I must have missed this art series as I hadn't seen it before. I'll be sure and check back more often.
ReplyDeleteI love this photo! What's the story telling? I think they just finished their breakfast and morning tea and the daughter is waiting for her father to finish reading his morning paper before they leave for the day.
Congratulations on your first sale!
Sandy ;)
Congrats on ur first sale this weekend and ur son's penultimate game this season! nothing beats a cozy afternoon by the fire...love the painting, i can see there are two cups on the table, so either they're both enjoying the tea but at the same time probably chit chatting with the man but also once in awhile look outside the window maybe waiting to go for window shopping hehehe..

Wow, congrats on your first sale. Awesome! I love this picture you posted. Gorgeous. Don't you just love her dress?
ReplyDeleteLife is just so easy now, but sometimes I would just love to visit another time period like that and just be able to live in it for a little bit!
Hey, I am getting better at this! It usually takes me 5 tries to try and read the writing and the number sign (sometimes it's too small and a little blurry). For the comment above I got it on the second try!
ReplyDeleteI do love this painting. I think she had an arranged marriage and it's her husband she's waiting for. She's not quite comfortable to tell him they are going to be late!
ReplyDeleteMy late mom loved the Victorian era; this painting is lovely. I'm off to visit your shop and I'm your newest follower.
